Joining Lady Marty

Ha! First time...

I was really eager to join Lady Marty with her meme every Tuesday quite awhile now, but there are so many hindrances on the way.

Anyway, as this is my first time, I don't really quite sure what to share & show to her avid participants. Hmmm... a girl from nowhere, joining this meme?" dóh!!!" my family said. Do you think they peep in, in your post? I said, "no worries, this is just a game. A true blogger visits everyone who visits her". Well, as what I read about the information of blogging rules.

Whatevah!!! I give my best shots, then! So here are my first shots for today...
Preparing for MOTH (man of the house) Father's Day
This dishes are an 85 yrs old treasures given by my MIL
Sweethearts (dove for peace & peacock for eternity)
A 24 carat plated dessert set was a gift from Abu Dhabi
Modified candle holders to fit the theme of the day...
French Luminarc water glass accompanied by Orrefors crystal wine glass
Table napkin is match with the tablecloth, also from Abu Dhabi
With golden thread that embroidered around

After celebrating the European Father's Day last week-end, I have to rush to change the decos and get ready for the Swedish tradition.

It happens that me, my cousins & their families gathered at home during first Sunday b4 Christmas Day, they call it First Advent. So, on November 28th, everybody will come and gather in my crib and of course, I will make the Swedish mulled wine. This year is with a taste of safron.

Red for mulled wine with alcohol & non-alcoholic for the white set
A simple centerpiece planned...
The motiffs: red, white & silver in the kitchen...
These are the mulled wines, left from 2005
Middle is non-alcoholic to those who drive
Third is 2010 with a taste of safron
Cloché with Christmas decos..

THANK YOU, MARTY at:
for sharing your great ideas & giving me the inspiration.
You know what I mean and I do appreciate and mean it.
KEEP WARM SWEET LADIES...
HAPPY TABLE TOP TUESDAY...

  13. Thank you for your visit and your very sweet words. I have been gone and am now catching up with "blog" life. I've read 3 of your posts so far this evening..

Stockholm, well I'm sure although cold and dreary it can be very beautiful too. But I know when it's dreary I need some sun to make my life run!! I am solar powered.

Your MIL's dishes she gave you are a treasure. I love those types of treasures. They keep the circle moving... Happy Advent - thank you for the reminder. I have to get my advent wreath and candles out!!

Having a BALL in our Outdoor cozy lounge...

AT LAST!!! Isn't it an easy life when our weather is not that HOT or too COLD ? ***  Det är så underbart liv när vädret tillåter. Absolut man får njuta det ljuva livet i solen. This is the time when I move our lounge outdoor and just loving to pamper it with my simple way and a dash of a chic style (at least) I feel it. *** En härlig dag sån här årstid. Here is my new outdoor LOUNGE!!!   Me & GH went for a morning walk (as always)   Preparing for a cozy outdoor lounge... Inherited--- A Vintage and Delicate Treasure

A sofisticated to my eyes... When I was young, I know what we had on top of my family's table. I don't really care what kind of treasures we had? I just remember that my grandfather had a very fine china set and unfortunately ended to a wrong greedy grandchildren, my first cousin's wife. Mum inhereted some of the set and as I recall she adored them till her last breath. If I am still living in The Philippines, I would love to keep them by myself. Hopefully, dear sis will adore as Mum does. Then, my new life started when I marry GH and move to Stockholm, Sweden 25 yrs ago. I know my love of kitchen/tables gadgets, i.e. household utensils, deep in my heart. It was already forseen by many of our friends--- my pedantic way and the love of a house to make it a home. I thank you Mum for that. It is true the saying " what we had experienced from our childhood, is what we get when we have our own" ? Well, when GH mother passed away 2 decades ago, GH inherite

An absolutely fine day... me & GH went for a walk... to see---- Cherry blossoms BlooM to the Max... this is one of the attraction in time like this in Kingsgarden... On the way home, this advertisement from 7-Eleven catches my attention... Then met these witches, LoL* sharing their goodies... that's another way around, huh? Then, when we came home, nothing can stop US... GH fix the gazebo in the mini-house in the garden... And the real witch is busy with her chores! Guess she is ready to party!
