Thursday is St. Patrik's Day!
And this date 17th of March is the death anniversary of my loving dad which in the Philippines is the patronal fiesta of San Jose. My family celebrates this day with a big bang (festivities) coz one reason is that this date is the birthdate of my late grandpa. Amazing coincidence, huh?
Anyways, in Sweden, life here is so neutral. Nothing much for celebrating. You can just hear the mumbling or complaining that Swedes are now more Americans. We more and more captivating on what the US bring to the world.
But for a Filipina like me, who grew up with the American way, misses those happy celebrations. As I can't find the things that I would like to have on Patty's day, I pick up my things and put them together and prepare my table, my way...

You did a wonderful job of gathering appropriate elements for your St. Patrick's Day tablescape. I particularly like the hurricane with the green candle and your green stemware. Festive, lovely design. Thank you for stopping by my post. Cherry Kay

Hey there, my friend! I hope you are doing OK. I read that this is the anniversary of the death of your Dad. I am sorry about that. Was the grandfather who was born on this same date his Dad? I know you must miss a lot of the festivities that go on here in the states, but life in Sweden has to be one of the most unique and fantastic experiences! I know it's very different, but just as you made your own fun and excitement with this great tablescape, I'll bet you do the same in your everyday life there! Is it still winter there? Have a really great weekend, Chie, and thank you for visiting my blog earlier today. I always love hearing from you! Take good care!
SvaraRaderaWhat a lovely table you've set! Happy St. Patrick's Day!

You have a lovely delicate style of decorating which adds fantasy to the design. I do so love your table and think your choices are just perfect. It is sad that you lost your dad on this date, but it seems that you have developed some wonderful family memories. I adore you grandmother's ivory fork.
SvaraRaderaYou certainly did a good job gathering what you have to celebrate St Patrick' We have two things in common your back ground post and your model for living. I am 80 and you are so young but I am young at heart. Very pretty inviting table. God loves us all.
SvaraRaderaGorgeous! You do a great job with your table scapes too. I love the centerpiece. Have a wonderful day and thank you so much for your sweet comment.

Sorry I'm late arriving. Your St. Patrick's Day table is a delight. Love the green stemware. Hope you had a fun celebration. ~ Sarah
SvaraRaderaHello there, WOW what a pretty blog. You are so clever. I love the way you have put some lace across the table. Is it a runner or have you been inventive with something else? I must confess, I tend to use many things for different uses. I have had a good look through your blog is is very inspiring.
SvaraRaderaLike you I am not living in my original country. I am English and living in New zealand. It too can be a little bit boring. Kiwis dont tend to get very excited about very much, unless it is playing sport or hunting. I miss the availability of beautiful things in the UK. Never mind......we must keep blogging and enjoying each others achievements. Jo
Beautiful green and white table, Chie! The little covered dishes are cute...what did you serve in them?
SvaraRaderaI love that for you St Patricks is a day you celebrate people you loved. You created your own very special table with collected green and white. Nothing wrong with thinking outside the box. Hope you are having a lovely day.
