Midsummer Mood...on my SSS


My Mid-summer Celebration

Yes! Sweden was on holiday on the 24th June 2011. Time to celebrate the 2011 Midsummer. It was nice weather, although it wasn't a hot day but it was pleasant day.

Here was my day with family & friends...
The day started with this--sunshine!!! Outside home---
Gazebo catches pretty shadow... Then in vicinity courtyard...
Our Maypole stand still...
Then, sun hid under the dark clouds...
Lil Liz could only showed her subtle me too...
GH & lil Liz aren't so happy with the sun, huh?

Suddenly, SHINES! & had a happy faces

While chasing shadows, I saw these men w/ midsummer wreath, cool!
Swedes listened to the midsummer songs

Now, hang on at my cousin's place for dinner & games...
Went out for to glimpse a lil sunshine...

THIS MORNING MIDSUMMER DAY...
Cool sunshine welcomes me in my reading nook...
But... an hour later, do you believe it?HAILING...
Anyways, I am indoor and it doesn't bother me... I use to tell my family, " there's nothing bad weather, put on the right gears and everything will be OK"

    All the outdoor activities were captured and enjoyed before the hail - excellent timing! Local celebrations under a (mostly) sunny sky are to be enjoyed - we were at a local street fair today, and the sun seemed to have everyone in a fine mood! Your outdoor buffet looks delicious, the party attendees hopefully brought their appetite!

    I drooled over all that food and then fainted when I saw the cakes ... lol.

    You are so right, there is no bad weather, as long as we have weather, all is good.
    Love your midsummer festivities and great shadows, especially of the people on the bench listening to the song. What would summer be without the contrast of a good thunder-storm and hail? You show us so many beautiful shadows inside and out. A great post!

    Så midsommarfina ni är, ser att du firat midsommar precis så där mysigt som det ska vara. Har tittat jättenoga på dina bilder, vet att min faster gillar och gå på såna fester. Har en kusin, Lena och hennes man bor också nära dig.
    Och vilka hagel! Otroligt att det kan bildas så stora på sommaren.

    Chie - your family (as well as yourself) always throw the BEST parties!! The festival looks great - the hail, not so much! But you're right - put the right gear on and you should be good!!

Another Subtle SS #3

Fröken Vinter håller sig länge i vinterlandet! Eller hur? Jag älskar verkligen det vita landskapet vi har nu. Herr Frost är underbar även om jag får inte den jag vill ha. Skuggorna §:-( När man tittar omkring sig genom fönster eller när man tar lite promenad, det känns att man är i sagolandet. Det enda som saknades är bara MINA släde och hundar som tar mig genom skogar... he he... DREAMING! IAF, jag hade fångat några bilder denna veckan och dagen... SOME PHOTOS CAPTURED A DAY PAST & TODAY... My 2 stalks orchid greeted me while standing tall in my kitchen window... GH lit my Kosta Boda candle glasses on the stairsteps down to cellar... Taken early morning a day ago, when sun shone in the lounge, quick and short WHAT? Lil L was with US? HALLELUJAH!!! This is my workstation yesterday when sun visit me at work §;-) A WONDERFUL & A MAGICAL WINTERLAND... Gosh!!! Mrs. Winter is still hanging around here and it seems it's been too long now since she popped up §;-) But, just look ...

Winter on Springtime on TTT and TS- Welcome to our new Entrance Hall

They said: April weather is absolutely deceiving... And that was we HAD experienced last Friday pm and the whole day on Saturday. Well, for us? It is not really unusual. You know why? When I planned a party? Beat me if the weather will join the fun? 90% was not fun at all, as far as I remember. So, that's it! Lil Missy's party became a winter party. We prepared for a BBQ, but if you see our back porch (week-end's photos) if you want to see, pls scroll down, thank you--- " it was not fun" . Well...well... but party must go on, right? And we had a great time anyways. And that matters. Some shots here and there... I been bragging since awhile about our DIY "Entrance hall". On top is a 23 yr old punch bowl, a wedding present from a dear cousin base in LeMoore, CA German crystal cut mini apothecary jars... A new member of D´Box... shabby chic dresser. Inside it is a radiator for floor heater... Just more views... don't mind the...
